Someone wants your driving test date.
You want theirs. Swap.

We will match you with one learner who wants the exact driving test you already hold. You each get the date that suits you, swapped directly with the DVSA on one phone call.

Places are released in waiting list order. Register now, and once you reach the top of the waiting list we will invite you to take up your place and start looking for the learner who wants what you are holding.

What is a driving test swap?

Two learners, one phone call, two better dates.

A driving test swap is a straight exchange of booked driving tests between two learners. You want an earlier date; someone else wants the later one you are holding. Instead of hunting driving test cancellations, we match you with that person.

The waiting list decides the order. We work through it in turn, so the sooner you add the driving test you hold, the sooner your invitation comes round. Join now and your place is held.

We never make the swap for you. The DVSA makes the driving test change, on one phone call. We only find the match and check the swap is allowed before you make that call.

What we do - and what we don't
We check the swap is allowed under DVSA rules before we match you.
We match you with one learner who wants your exact slot.
You keep full control - you approve the swap on the call.
We do not contact the DVSA on your behalf.
We do not share your name or contact details with the other learner. The only thing exchanged is a DVSA booking reference, which is what the call needs.
How to swap driving test dates with someone

An earlier driving test in three steps.

No cancellation hunting, no auto-booking bots. Just a direct swap between two people who both want the exchange.

01

Tell us your driving test

Register the driving test booking you already hold - your test centre, date and time - and the sort of date that would actually work for you.

02

We find your match

We look for a learner who wants your slot and holds one you want. We check the DVSA swap rules before we match you, so you never waste a phone call.

03

You swap with the DVSA

You each get the other's booking reference and agree a time to be free. One of you rings the DVSA on 0300 200 1122 (option 1), the DVSA rings the other, and the change is made on that call - never by us.

When to swap your driving test

If any of these sound like you, swap it.

Your driving test is months away

You are ready now, but the only driving test booking you could get is weeks or months out.

Your theory certificate is running out

Let it expire and you have to sit the theory again before you can book a driving test at all.

The date stopped working

Work, college or a holiday now clashes with your test, and you would rather change your driving test than lose the fee.

You are ready sooner

Lessons are going well and your instructor says you are ready - you just need the date to catch up with you.

DVSA eligibility rules

Can you swap driving test dates with someone?

Yes - the DVSA allows it, but only when all of these are true for both learners. We check every one before we put a match forward, so you are only ever matched with a swap that is allowed to happen.

Changes remaining

The DVSA lets you change your driving test twice, and a swap uses one of them. You each need at least one change left.

At least 10 full working days' notice

Counted before the earlier of the two tests. Monday to Saturday count as working days; Sundays and bank holidays do not.

Same or nearby test centre

The test you swap to must be at the same centre, one of your three nearest, or the centre you originally booked - and the same must be true for them.

Matching test type

Like for like only: weekday for weekday, evening or weekend for evening or weekend, extended for extended, and extra time arrangements must match.

A valid booking each

You both need a genuine, active DVSA driving test booking. You cannot change, swap or cancel a driving test on somebody else's behalf.

Your details stay yours.

We never share your name, driving licence number, address, phone number or email address with the learner you are matched to, and you never see theirs.

The only thing that changes hands is a DVSA booking reference, and that is all the call needs. One of you rings the DVSA and gives both references. The DVSA looks up the other booking and rings that learner on the number registered against it, so it contacts them directly and neither of you ever has the other's phone number. Once you have both agreed the declaration, the DVSA makes the swap.

We are not the DVSA and we are not affiliated with the DVSA, DVLA or GOV.UK, and nothing about your booking changes until you say so on that call.
